What sound?
If you're wondering what sounds might be bouncing off the walls of Our Beautiful Maisonette during the May Open House, here are some answers and even an example.
I've been recording local noises for a while - both natural and manmade if you go for such distinctions. Sometimes I tidy them up a bit (wind noise starts to grate after a while) and present them raw. Sometimes I cook them a bit to enhance the flavour.
Either way, when I serve them up to your (hopefully) delighted eardrums, they arrive in a crossfading, binaural wraparound of merging stereo soundfields, that is semi-planned yet enjoyably random. Well, that's the theory.
I could say more, but writing about sound always struck me as one of life's more frustrating endeavours.
